Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of WebGlean (the “Service”), operated by Qubomax LLC (“Qubomax”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), a limited liability company organized in Virginia, United States. By creating an account, calling our API, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

1. The Service

WebGlean provides an API and related tools (SDKs, a command-line interface, and an MCP server) that fetch, render, and convert web pages into structured formats such as Markdown, JSON, HTML, or plain text, including crawling, structured-data extraction, search, sitemap discovery, and change monitoring. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts & API Keys

You need an account to use the Service. You are responsible for keeping your API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account and keys. Notify us immediately at support@webglean.com if you believe a key has been compromised. We are not liable for any loss caused by an unauthorized party using your credentials.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, or the rights of any third party, including intellectual property, privacy, or data protection rights;
  • Access or attempt to access websites in a manner that circumvents technical access controls in violation of applicable law;
  • Collect sensitive personal data (e.g., financial account numbers, government IDs, health records, or login credentials) from third-party sites;
  • Overwhelm, disrupt, or degrade any website, server, or network, including ours;
  • Resell or sublicense raw access to the Service without our prior written consent (reselling products or analyses built on top of the Service is fine).

You are solely responsible for the URLs you submit and for ensuring your use of any content obtained through the Service complies with applicable law and with the terms of the sites you ask us to access. We may suspend or terminate access that we reasonably believe violates this section.

4. Fees, Plans & Credits

The Service is billed on a credit basis. Each plan grants a monthly credit allowance; each API call consumes credits at the rate described on our pricing page and in our credits documentation. Unused credits do not roll over between billing periods and have no cash value. You may purchase additional credit top-ups at any time on any plan. Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel a paid subscription at any time from your dashboard’s billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to your plan’s credits and features through that date, and you will not be charged again. We do not provide prorated or partial refunds for unused time or unused credits within a billing period, because credits consumed prior to cancellation reflect compute and third-party costs we have already incurred. We may, at our sole discretion, make exceptions on a case-by-case basis — contact support@webglean.com if you believe your situation warrants one.

6. Fair Use & Rate Limits

All plans, including the free tier, are subject to rate limits designed to keep the Service reliable for everyone. We may throttle, queue, or reject requests that exceed reasonable usage patterns for your plan, and may adjust limits over time.

7. Content You Submit and Scrape

We do not own, endorse, or take responsibility for the content of any website you ask us to scrape, crawl, or extract data from. That content belongs to its original publisher and remains subject to that publisher’s own terms and applicable law. We make no guarantee that any particular website can be successfully accessed, rendered, or converted — sites may block automated access, change their structure, or become unavailable at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the Service itself, including our software, SDKs, CLI, MCP server, documentation, and branding. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own internal or commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT EXTRACTED OR CONVERTED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, QUBOMAX LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Qubomax LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.

12. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that we reasonably believe creates liability or harm to us, other users, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and cancel your account at any time.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
