This Privacy Policy explains how Qubomax LLC (“Qubomax”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), the operator of WebGlean (the “Service”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, dashboard, and API.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways:
- Account information — your email address and authentication details, handled by our identity provider, Clerk, when you sign up or sign in.
- Billing information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor, Stripe, collects and stores your payment details directly. We never receive or store your full card number; we retain only billing metadata such as your plan, subscription status, and Stripe customer/ subscription IDs.
- API usage data — the URLs you submit, request parameters, job status, and the resulting scraped/converted content (Markdown, HTML, text, or JSON) are stored so you can view job history and results in your dashboard.
- Log & usage metadata — API endpoint called, timestamps, and credits consumed, used for billing, rate limiting, and abuse prevention.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Operate, maintain, and provide the Service you request;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions and credit balances;
- Monitor for abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain security;
- Respond to support requests sent to support@webglean.com;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Third-Party Service Providers
We share information with the following processors, solely to operate the Service on our behalf, each bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Clerk — authentication and account management
- Stripe — payment processing and billing
- Neon — database hosting (Postgres)
- Railway — application and infrastructure hosting
- Upstash — job queue infrastructure (Redis)
- Anthropic — powers the Extract API’s AI-based structured data extraction; the page content you ask us to extract from is sent to Anthropic’s API for that purpose only.
We do not otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet legal, accounting, or tax obligations. API job results (scraped content, extraction output, crawl and monitor history) are retained so you can view them in your dashboard; you may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing support@webglean.com.
5. Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies required for authentication and session management, set by Clerk. We do not currently use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
6. Data Security
API keys are stored as one-way SHA-256 hashes — we cannot recover your raw API key after it is first shown to you. All traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit via TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. You can exercise any of these rights by emailing support@webglean.com; we will respond within a reasonable time.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. International Users
Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
